Bali pass lies in between the Ruinsara lake and Yamunotri dham. Suppose you want to experience heaven on earth and have an unobstructed view of Kala Nag pravat. In that case, Bandarpoonch and Swargarohini peak, then Bali Pass is the perfect option for you. Most importantly, this trek is complex and not ideal for beginners because the trail is exhilarating, comprising challenging terrains, crossing risky areas and steep ascents. Hence, one should have muscular mental and physical endurance. This trek is assumed one of the most offbeat treks in Indian Himalayas, full of adventures and mystic and panoramic views.
Within the kernels of Garhwal Himalayas lies the Bali Pass having a significant elevation of 4990 meters. This arresting high-altitude pass offers unobstructed views of the sublime Himalayan peaks such as Kala Nag, Bandarpoonch, and Swargarohini.
The Bali Pass trek is full of adventures and mystical views that will make your trip nostalgic. The trek starts from Sankri village and ends at Jankichatti. A little trekking experience is necessary for commencing this trek

Bali passes trek at an altitude of 16240ft. connects Yamunotri and Har Ki Dun Valley. If you want to experience nature at its best and have some lifelong memories associated with your trekking trip, then you should go for the Bali pass once in your lifetime.
In the central Ruinsara forest, you will find the alpine meadows of Dev Thach, a treat to your eyes. The Ruinsara Lake is known to have unmatched beauty and a magnificent mythological story.
These amazing treks start from Sankri village and end at Jankichatti. In this trek, you will get a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the audacious part of the sacred Yamunotri.
However, the Bali pass trek is seamless for people who trek different and less travelled paths to have some adventurous reminiscences. Though you will find this trek difficult, your step will be worth it.
Therefore, like other Himalayan pass crossings; the best time to go for Bali Pass Trek is before or after monsoon season in the months of May, June, September and October only.

Day 1: Dehradun to Sankari (1919 m), Drive 200km/9 hours.

Your journey will start from Dehradun in early morning, from railway station or ISBT bus stand, you will be dropped to Sankri Drive. While driving to Sankari from Dehradun, you will experience unique scenic places like Nainbagh, damta, Kempty water falls, etc.

Day 2:Sankri to Seema (2450m), Drive 12km/1 hr + Trek 13km/6-7 hrs

After having breakfast Sankri to Taluka By taxi. On the same day you will start hiking to Chelugad/seema and then at night staying in camps. After feeling the scenic place, you will surely be energized for hiking.

Day 3:Seema to Rainbasera (3150 m) via Devsu Bughyal (3050 m); Trek 9 km/ 4-5 hrs.

It is a moderate to difficult slope, and you can see the confluence of Har ki Dun. You will get to see the diverse scenery of meadows & forests. As you move towards Devsu Bughyal, you will see that the path ascends & gets steep. You will explore the stunning sights of the Kala Nag, popularly known as the Black- peak.

Day 4:Rainbasera to Ruinsara Tal (3,650 m); Trek 8 km/4-5 hrs.

Here you will experience a moderate slope and get the chance to go camping near the lake. You will get a chance to enjoy the striking sight of Ruinsara Tal, surrounded by meadows.

Day 5:Ruinsara Tal to Odari (4,150 m); Trek 4km/4 hrs.

Ruinsara Tal to Odari, covering 4km by hiking. Camping at this elevation is an entirely new experience that fewer treks offer. Here you will get steep and gradual slope, giving you perfect trekking information.

Day 6:Odari to Base Camp (4650 m); Trek 4km/5hrs

Here you will enjoy a steep rise & also walk on a mountain ridge. Here you will stay in a camps. This is the highest peak of the trek, so that you can carry your trekking gear. You will get a fantastic view of the silvery snowfield here.

Day 7:Base Camp to Lower Dhamni (3450 m) via Bali pass (4950 m); Trek 11 km/8 hrs.

After the Bali pass ridge, half of the trek distance is descent. You will get a summit view of Bandarpoonch, Black peak, and the Yamunotri. You will be given cooked lunch on the way and stay in a tent

Day 8:Lower Dhamni to Janki-Chatti (2650 m) via Yamunotri; Trek 8km/6-7 hrs

From dhamni trek down to hold Yamunotri dham, considered one of the Char Dham of Uttarakhand. Here the trail is easy & distinct. You will be given prepared lunch for the trek.

Day 9:Janki-Chatti to Dehradun. Drive 175 Km/8 hrs

End of hiking with lots of new experiences and life-long reminiscences. You will be dropped to Dehradun via barkot.
