The Kashmir Great Lakes Trek, nestled cozily among the mountains, is another undiscovered gem of Kashmir that supports the regions fabled reputation as a slice of heaven on earth. The roads will be walked through by stunning Alpine and snow-capped mountains, and the journey will be bound by lush meadows, rugged terrains, and mountains. The range of landscape makes it a moderate-difficult trek spanning over six days. This means it has long trekking days with steep ascents and descents with no easy exit points. So, it’s not meant for a beginner who hasn’t been exposed to high-altitude treks.
You have more than seven of these lakes, as well as five quite diverse valleys, to explore. Every day is a 360° picture of wild, craggy mountains, rolling meadows, and turquoise alpine lakes! Due to the beauty of the walk, The Kashmir Great Lakes is an IMAX 3D experience. Put this trail on your bucket list if you haven’t already!
