The hike to Kauri Pass begins from Joshimath, the hub for explorers and pilgrims. The Winter Kuari Pass hike gives you an excellent opportunity to admire the impressive skyline of the mighty mountains from close quarters. If you are walking into the Himalayas for the first time, then Kuari Pass is the trek. It is almost crafted perfectly for the beginner. The trek at an altitude of 12,516 ft. also offers you summit views of Dronagiri, Chitrakantha, Chaukhamba, and Tali top.

Occasionally, you might come across the footprints of the rare Himalayan Bear or Leopard. The best of the Kuari Pass is that you can camp amidst the lush green meadows, consisting of vast green pastures with Himalaya Views.

Day 1: Haridwar to Joshimath via Rishikesh and Chamoli. Drive – 275km/10-11 hrs

Transport from the Haridwar railway station will be arranged by Himalayan Ambition. Breakfast and lunch will be offered on the way. While going from Haridwar to Joshimath, you will see famous places like Rishikesh, Dhari Devi, Karnapray, and Chamoli, known for their beauty and religious significance.

Make sure to keep your cameras ready to capture eye-catchy views of nature. On reaching the Joshimath, you will be welcomed by a host of ice peaks

Day 2:Drive from Joshimath to Dhak (6800 ft) and Trek from Dhak to Gulling top (9700 ft)

Drive – 12km/1 hr
Trek – 5km/4-5 hrs
After breakfast, we will leave for Dhak village, situated in the Joshimath tehsil. It is going to be a rocky drive. From here, we will start the trek. This trek will begin with a rising dirt path away from the main road toward Tugasi village.
From Upper Tugasi, you will reach Gulling top in almost 1.5 or 2 hours. Here you will find the trail a combination of steep & moderate climbs. Don’t miss the mesmerizing sunrise views from your camp early in the morning.

Day 3:Gulling Top to Tali forest camp (11050 ft); Trek 4km/4-5 hrs

Wake up early in the morning because you will start the trek deep into the forest of Tali. You will have a perfect hike because the ascent slope is relatively even. After a few minutes of trek, you will enter into a little stream and the mixed forest of oaks and rhododendrons. The stay will be scheduled at Tali forest camp.

Day 4: Tali forest camp to Kuari pass (12750 ft) via Khullara Top (11800 ft) and return, Trek 7 km each way.

On the fourth day, prepare for some high snow & squalling wind on the ridges. We will head towards Khullara top, a trek of almost 3.5km. You will be offered lunch at the base of the Kuari high pass. You will get the opportunity to explore some eye-catchy views of Garhwal peaks.

Day 5:Trek from Tali forest Camp to Auli (9200 ft) via Gurson Bughyal and Drive to Joshimath.

Trek – 8km/5-6 hrs
Drive – 13km/1 hr
We will start the trek from the forest camp to Auli via Gurson Bughyal, which will give you splendid views of the mountains.
You will be reaching Joshimath from Auli by cable car ride.

Day 6:Joshimath to Haridwar; Drive 275km/10-11 hrs

From Joshimath, we will start the early morning ride to Haridwar, marking the end of this memorable trekking trip.
